New for 2025

As of September 2025, SoCalPhil is pleased to partner with a new software platform, Zeffy, for charitable donations and concert e-tickets. We hope our SCP patrons will find the Zeffy interface straightforward and easy to use. We welcome our patrons' feedback; please send any comments about Zeffy to us at info@socalphil.org.

How to Support an Upcoming Performance

Here at the SoCalPhil, our vision is to enable all members of our community to experience world-class orchestral performances. To help the SCP team cover our concert production costs, we suggest a tax-deductible donation of $20 per ticket. In service of our charitable mission, however, SCP’s orchestral concerts are free admission and on a donate-what-you-can basis. Your patronage enables our non-profit to continue our charitable activities in arts and education.

Seating is general-admission and first-come first-served. A paper ticket or an e-ticket is required for concert admission. This helps us track audience attendance numbers for our records.

To reserve a paper ticket, donations are accepted at-the-door of our concerts (by cash, paper check, credit card, or digital wallet).

E-tickets, which include a QR code, are automatically emailed to you after you make a concert ticket reservation online via our new e-ticketing platform, Zeffy. At the ticket table, please be ready to either provide the name you used on the reservation so that we can check you in, or show your e-ticket on your phone so that we can scan your QR code.

SoCalPhil is committed to making our concerts accessible to our patrons and audience

members. If you would like to further coordinate accessibility measures, we ask that you please contact us at info@socalphil.org at least 10 days in advance of the concert date that you wish to attend.

Thank you for being a patron of the arts. We look forward to welcoming you to our concerts!

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about attending a concert, making a donation, or reserving tickets? Browse our frequently asked questions for quick answers on everything from admission and seating to payment options and accessibility. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help!

Can I attend the concert for free?

YES! Concert admission is free, although we suggest a donation of $20 per ticket. Please note that historically, most of our patrons do elect to make the suggested donation of $20 or more per ticket, and almost every patron who comes to our concerts has elected to make a donation of at least $5 per ticket. We gratefully accept and appreciate any amount that you are able to contribute to support the arts and help us continue our charitable mission.

What is my charitable contribution used for?

We are a volunteer non-profit organization, but each concert we produce is still subject to necessary costs such as venue fees, insurance coverage, and contracting fees. These costs usually total several thousands of dollars per concert; your donations help us cover these costs. Donations also fund other non-profit projects such as our flagship music education and leadership training program, Young Artists. Without generous contributions from our patrons, we wouldn’t be able to continue our charitable work.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

YES! Yorba Linda Orchestra Association d/b/a Southern California Philharmonic (Tax ID #90-0081116) is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization. Any donations to SoCalPhil, including donations made upon concert admission, are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowable under law.

For donations, what payment methods do you accept?

At the door for our concerts, we accept cash, paper check, credit card, or digital wallet. Online

on our website, we accept credit card via Zeffy. Thank you for being a patron of the arts!

Do you offer any discounts (student, senior, teacher, etc.) for concert admission?

Concert admission is FREE. Because we don’t charge any concert admission, there are no discounted admissions. We do suggest a donation of $20 per ticket, and we gratefully accept any amount you wish to contribute. Whether large or small, a donation is a donation.

How do I get my tickets?

You can either get your paper ticket(s) at the ticket table on the evening of the concert, or reserve your e-ticket(s) online to have your e-tickets emailed to you. We look forward to welcoming you to our concerts!

Can I reserve specific seats in advance?

Seating is general admission and first-come first-served. If you would like to request a specific seat (such as an aisle seat) for accessibility reasons, we ask that you please email info@socalphil.org at least 10 days in advance of the concert date that you wish to attend.
