Update on the Young Artist Competition
SoCalPhil is proud to announce the 21st anniversary of the SoCalPhil Young Artist Solo Competition for the 2024-2025 season! This season continues our tradition of showcasing young musical talent across three mediums: vocalists, pianists, and other instrumentalists. Musicians will compete in three age categories: 0-13 “Prodigy”, 14-17 “Artiste”, and 18-23 “Virtuoso.”
Auditions will be held on November 2, 2024, with potential additional auditions on November 3 if needed. The winners will be announced before the end of November. First-place winners will perform with the SoCalPhil in one of three Spring 2025 concerts. Be sure to check the Upcoming Performances section for concert dates!
Scholarships will be awarded to the competition winners during the concert. These scholarships are made possible through donations from our generous patrons and SCP musicians.
SoCalPhil is thrilled to once again have the Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts sponsoring this important musical event and supporting the scholarships for our young artists.
To help us continue providing scholarships for the next generation of musicians, please consider donating. Your contribution will help ensure the future of this cherished tradition. Donate here.
